Laneige recently launched their new Layering Lip Bars and they come in 20 different shades. You read that right! 20!
Let’s get to the breakdown…
The main concept behind these lipsticks are that there are 6 different shades in each lipstick. That means, the gradient is more smooth and subtle. On top of that, the first 14 shades (Layering Fantasy, Milk Blurring, Jealousy Red, Orange Pleasure, Witty Coral, Alluring Red, Awesome Pink, Crushed Pink, Quiet Pink, Tasty Salmon, Moody Red, Stubborn Rose, Bitter Rose, and Candid Brick) are their traditional moisturizing formula, while the last 6 (Shy Beige, Lonely Coral, No Doubt Coral, Pierce Pushier, Genie Red, and Soul Red) are matte.
Overall, I felt these were nice and perfect for those who go for the gradient lip. They are a bit pricey, but I feel like these are a more luxurious type of lip product. My only critique of these are that I felt like they didn’t need 20 different shades. As you can see in my swatching video, a lot of the colors look similar. Honestly, I stopped a few times to double check the shades to make sure I wasn’t accidentally re-swatching the same ones! haha.
What are your thoughts about these new Layering Lip Bars? Do you think they’re worth it? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
xoxo,
Morgan
