So… I meant to do this, like, a month ago. Oops. Well that’s life and things happen right? What is it that they say… better late than never!
Anywho, let’s get to the breakdown…
Etude House is constantly coming up with new collections. I’m a big fan of this because I feel like their always evolving, and coming from a western perspective, I think they do a really good job of staying up-to-date on trends. Their recent spring 2018 collection, The Colorful Drawing Collection, was something I was really excited to get my hands on because I loved the French undertones (hello, they are Etude House). This collection, in general, although whimsical and fresh was fairly typical when I finally received it. As you saw in the video I made about the collection, I found the colors a bit repetitive and the quality of products themselves were average. The heroes of the collection were obviously the watercolor blusher. To be honest, most of these were a bit too light on my skin… basically non-existent. To me, that was a bit disappointing since these were the featured new products. The other products I was really excited to check out were the eyeshadow palettes. Again, I found these super repetitive. In fact, I felt like I had seen almost these exact same color combinations in previous Etude House palettes. I even showed an Etude House palette that launched a couple years ago that looked pretty dang similar to The Colorful Drawing ones. I won’t spoil all my thoughts for you though… you’ll have to watch the video but as I mentioned, I’ll include close-up pictures in this post!
