Summer has been in full swing, which means I’m all about that sunny glow, sun protection, and light makeup. For today’s post, I’m going to share with you some beauty picks I found at Walmart (both in-store and online) and my thoughts on my whole experience shopping with them.
So let’s get to the breakdown…
First off, I have to say… I was highly impressed by the vast beauty selection Walmart carries. Not only do they carry a lot of my long-time favorites (looking at you Marc Jacobs Eau de Toilette Perfume of which I’ve been wearing since college!), but K-beauty products, lots of skincare, hair products galore, and the newest makeup launches. As far as my shopping experience, I ordered most of the products shown in this post online. It was my first time doing this, and I was pleasantly surprised when my order arrived on my doorstep two days after I placed my order (they have free 2-day shipping for orders over $35). Everything was securely packed and the liquid products had tape over the lid to prevent spillage. It was a pretty seamless process in general, so let’s get to what I picked out!
essie Nail Polish (Nudes), Let It Glow
This is such a pretty color and is perfect for Summer! It’s a bright salmon pink with a gold reflux. I’ve been super into Essie nail polish lately because they’re super shiny and long-lasting (I can usually make it 3-4 days without experiencing chipping).
Bare Republic Vanilla Coco Sunscreen Spray
This is my first time using this sunscreen spray, and I picked it out because it’s a mineral (physical) sunscreen spray. I’ve talked about the difference between physical and chemical sunscreens before, but since then, I’ve been on the hunt for more physical sunscreen sprays. I actually tested this out the other day on a run outside, and it lasted through my sweat! I noticed it did have a little bit of a white cast, but I’m sure this would’ve been better had I let it sit on my skin longer before going out on my run.
L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Washable Mascara, Blackest Black
I LOVE L’Oreal mascaras. They make some of my favorite mascaras of all time and I appreciate that this is easy to remove. This gives my lashes a beautiful, fluttery look without being overly clumpy.
Maybelline New York Lemonade Craze Eye Shadow Palette
I had to pick this palette up after first seeing it on the muacjdiscussion subreddit. I’m super excited to see a drugstore palette have a bright, matte yellow and the shades, overall, look very light and pretty. Again, I feel like this is the perfect palette for summer.
SGX NYC™, The Bodyguard, 450F Thermal Protective Texture Spray
I recently ran out of my heat protectant spray so I decided to try this one. Summer, aka wedding season, means a lot of heat styling, which we all know it terrible for our hair. I never style my hair without using a heat protectant, so I can’t wait to try this one out!
It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-In Conditioner Product
Echoing what I said above, my hair needs extra TLC during the summertime. This is something I’ve used on and off for years, so when I saw Walmart carries It’s a 10, I decided to pick up another bottle.
So that’s my recent beauty haul from Walmart! I’m super excited to see that Walmart is branching out and making our beauty needs more accessible! I hope everyone is having a wonderful and safe summer!
xoxo,
Morgan
